The Osun Open Local Government Project

Is an initative of the Insight Initiative for Community and Social Development, supported by our development partners - is hinged on the four pillars of civic engagement, accountability, grassroots development and good governance.

Basically, the concept of opening up the local governments in Osun to public scrutiny and engagement is geared towards promoting these four key parameters, with a viewing to repositioning them for greater prosperity.

For us at Inisght Initiative for Community Development, we are deeply concerned in government working for the people and realising its developmental drive. Understanding the peculiarities of the Nigerian situation, it is very key to underscore the fact that not just are there questions about how public funds are utilised, it is also vital that the people get the information they need, one that will give them the right directions in voting during elections.
